Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)

This is a solid movie. An ancient war pitted humans against the magical creatures. The elves used an indestructible golden mechanical army to gain an advantage, but when King Balor realized how lopsided their victories were he destroyed the magical crown that gave them power. Nuada (Luke Goss) did not agree with the truce and in the present he sets out to put all three pieces back together so he can be the new ruler. While visiting the hidden troll city, the paranormal research team meets Nuala who wants to help them stop her twin brother. Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is critically injured by the tip of a spear, but normal medical means of removal only cause it to go deeper into his body.

The soundtrack was composed by Danny Elfman.
