The Vow (2012)

This is a noteworthy movie based on a true story. Leo (Channing Tatum) and Paige (Rachel McAdams) are a happily married couple who have known each other for four years. One snowy night after a date, they are hit by a truck while parked at a stop sign. Paige crashes through the windshield and ends up in a coma. When she awakens she thinks Leo is the doctor because all of their memories together are forgotten. Her estranged parents convince her to move back in with them by pretending that nothing is wrong with their relationship. Leo is distraught that he is losing his wife and finally convinces her to go on a date with him.

The film is based on the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter from Farmington, New Mexico. The film broke Hitch's record for the highest-grossing mid-week Valentine’s Day.
