Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher

This is an okay book written by Bruce Coville. One day, a young boy named Jeremy Thatcher is trying to run away from some kids who are hassling him, and discovers a magic shop. Inside, the salesman doesn’t seem very excited to have a customer. Jeremy sees a colorful globe and buys it for only one quarter. When he gets home he learns that he now has a dragon egg. There are instructions on what to do with it at the next full moon, but Jeremy must keep it a secret from his family and friends. This is the second book in the Magic Shop series.
