What about Bob? (1991)

This is a solid movie. Bob Wiley (Bill Murray) is good-natured, but he suffers from many phobias. He feels good about his initial session with Dr. Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss), but is worried when the psychiatrist says he will be leaving on vacation for a month. By impersonating a police officer Bob is able to discover the location of the Marvin family's vacation home and he travels to New Hampshire. Marvin's wife and two children soon become attached to Bob, but Leo is very frustrated by his refusal to leave. When a television crew comes to interview Leo about his new book, Bob explains how helpful the ideas have been to him.

The film was remade into the Tamil film Thenali and the Hindi film Deewana Mastana. The movie was filmed in and around the town of Moneta, Virginia located on Smith Mountain Lake. The house used in the filming still stands.
