Dark of the Moon

This is an okay book written by John Sandford. Ex-soldier and former cop Virgil Flowers is now an investigator working under Lucas Davenport. In Bluestem, Minnesota, a doctor and his wife are discovered shot dead in their backyard. Then an isolated house explodes in a ball of flame, killing its owner, a con man named Judd. As Virgil looks into Judd’s shady past, he finds several possible leads, but is certain that the murders are linked. This is the first novel in the Virgil Flowers series, a spin-off of the Prey books.
