The Lake House

I did not like this book written by James Patterson. Six extraordinary and genetically altered children are trying to lead normal lives in Colorado. The only time they’ve ever felt safe was when they were together in the waterfront cabin they call the Lake House. And they only people they’ve ever trusted are Frannie and Kit, the couple who rescued them from the unimaginable evil they came from. Their biological parents used IVF to conceive, but a dastardly doctor gave the children birdlike qualities.

This is a sequel to 1998 novel When the Wind Blows. The series Maximum Ride is a spin-off of the two novels, and is intended for teenaged readers.
