Port Mortuary

This is an okay book written by Patricia Cornwell. At the beginning of her professional career, when she accepted a scholarship from the Air Force, Scarpetta found herself ensnared in a gruesome case of hate crimes against two Americans in South Africa. More than two years later, Scarpetta is confronted with a case when a young man drops dead, but an examination of his body indicates he may have been alive when he was zipped inside a pouch and locked in the Cambridge Forensic Center's cooler room.

This is the eighteenth book in the series.
