The Curse of the Pharaohs

This is an okay book written by Elizabeth Peters. Lady Baskerville asks the Emersons to finish excavating a site, because her husband died just before opening a tomb in Luxor. Rumors have been spread that a curse has been released. They leave their young son with relatives and go to the Valley of the Kings. The Emersons meet wealthy amateur Egyptologist Cyrus Vandergelt, hieroglyphics expert Karl von Bork, and reporter Kevin O'Connell. This is the second novel in the series.
